Trusting The Process

“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the lord establishes their steps.” Proverbs 16:9

Let’s face it, when we look at a ministry like Celebrate Recovery, at face value, it can seem daunting and too messy. I don’t know about you but I was a bit overwhelmed with the thought, “How am I going to be able to do this? How can I possibly pull this off and help so many hurting people?” The truth is though, as I got into the process I realized, it isn’t me that “does this”, it is God that does “all”. He just calls me to the process to be a part of what He is already doing, just like He does in my own healing journey.
It is easy to forget this truth no matter how long we’ve been at either our own recovery or helping others in their recovery.

Whether you are early in the process and seeking freedom from your own junk or are now practicing principle 8 where we, “Yield our self to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by our example and by our words, don’t ever forget that where ever God guides you, He will provide the strength and support to carry you through it.

No matter what step in the journey you are, never forget it is Jesus that will carry you through to the end. He is growing us together.

Father God, I yield myself to you to be used to bring this Good News to others. Both by my example and by my words. Help me to be your hands and feet in a hurting world. Help me to reach those who are in pain and are struggling with life. Let me be your light in a dark world. Amen.
